This is how to perform a barebones install VMWare ESXi 5 hypervisor to get it ready for a connection from a VSphere client. Note that you will need to have your network setup properly for this to work. In this example I'm using 192.168.10.3 as my ESXi host and 192.168.10.5 and 192.168.10.6 as my DNS servers. In this scenario you will need to make sure your VSphere client is on this subnet.
